Hey folks ...
I found an old L-90 pickup (black, curved blades, square housing, just saying lawrence on top)
in an old German Framus SG from the 70ties.
Now my question is how to wire this pickup?
It only has 3 conductors ... red, black and blank ...
Is this pickup splittable?
I want to wire it into a Telecaster in the neck position ... using 3 way switch and may be one or two
on/on switches für splitting and/or outphasing if the L-90 could do so ...
Please help me ... how this pickup is wired and how it should be wired in ..
Greats from Germany ... Andy
I remember when I had this
I remember when I had this problem with my old pickup I almost ruined it. I had to call my Houston electrician to fix the electrical circuit. It was a lot of work but we finally did it, I use it even now.
I have one. black and red
I have one. black and red appear to be the output leads, bare wire appears to be a ground (no connectivity with either black or red wire). Pickup tests approximately 10k ohms.
So, no phasing, series/parallel or coil cut/tap are available, this is wired like an old Gibson PAF, just 2 conductors and a separate ground.
also... the wire has white coating (now discolored), "Belden 8640 FR-1"

good luck, post a link if you get some answers! Thanks,
